Site fabric
High Speed Rail (Crewe – Manchester), Supplementary Environmental Statement 1 and Additional Provision 1 Environmental Statement, Glossary, abbreviations and references, defines site fabric as: ‘A general term used to describe land and/or permanent structures present within a designated site boundary which are not, and never have been, part of the special interest of a site, nor do they contribute towards supporting a special interest feature of a site in any way, but which have been unavoidably included within a boundary for convenience or practical reasons.’
